I own a few different pairs of Keen shoes in several different styles and I absolutely love them. I never really considered myself a "one-shoe brand girl" so I had been looking at these and a pair of New Balance for a long time trying to decide which ones I wanted to buy. I chose the New Balance. I have always liked New Balance so I thought they would be a good choice. When I received them, they fit way too small and were very narrow. It must have just been the style because their shoes usually work really well for me. At any rate, I sent them back and decided to buy this shoe. When I first received them I put them on right away and thought "Oh no. I should have done what many other reviews said to do and order a size up." Well, then I stopped and thought for a minute realized I was wearing my thick winter socks so that could be why they felt too small. I took the socks off, put the shoes back on and they fit like a glove! Then I thought, "Well I may not always want to wear these without socks". So, I put on a pair of ultra-thin, low cut socks and they felt perfect. I wore these shoes all day today and I am absolutely in love with them. I am mad at myself that I even tried the other shoe. I know I need to just stick with my tried and true Keens. They have never failed me before so I am going to have to remember that when looking at new styles of shoe.
I love the look of these shoes with the curved shoe lace pattern. They are so light! I also love that even though they are light and airy, you can't feel every single pebble you step on. I wanted shoes that I could feel more of the ground with but not every little crack I stepped on. These fit the bill. I will likely get another pair soon in a different color. The color schemes are so fun! I did hesitate on this black but after I saw them I am definitely am happy with the choice. I was afraid they would seem too dark but with the mesh and the bright blue they look great!
